Mediated agreements

to legal documents

Once an agreement is reached in mediation, the mediator drafts the relevant documents from:

  • Parenting Plan

  • Memorandum of Understanding

  • Open Financial Statement.

These documents, are not legally binding.

Consequently, you may need to appoint a solicitor to draft the legal documentation from the mediator's documents.

  • This could be a Consent Order, for married couples

  • Or a Separation Agreement, for cohabiting couples.

A Consent Order is legally binding;

a Separation Agreement is not ~ but it is, potentially, legally enforceable.
